Junior Developer / Software Engineer
Help build our AI software, from client platforms with thousands of users to new LLM pipelines. Working directly with the founders, with real responsibility from day one.
- 8–32 hours
- Enschede / Remote
- Market rate
We build AI software. Sometimes custom-made for a single client, sometimes platforms that hundreds of people work on every day. We are looking for someone to help build it.
What you will do
Build features in our Next.js apps. Build in LLM integrations with OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini. Design databases and queries. Automate workflows that used to be done by people.
Concretely: one day you work on a client platform with a thousand users and have to fix a bug in the invoicing flow. The next you are deep in a new LLM pipeline for another project.
You work directly with Tijn and Twan (the founders). You get real responsibility from day one, and with it the room to occasionally get it wrong.
Our stack
Main hosting on GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Firebase, whatever fits). Next.js, React, TypeScript, Node on the code side. Vercel for some frontends, Supabase for projects where that makes more sense scope-wise.
AI: OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini. Prompting, evaluations, context engineering, tool calling, agent-like flows. SQL and Postgres for everything involving data.
What we expect from you
That you can build well. You know when something is over-engineered and when something has been thrown together too quickly. Your code is still readable six months later.
That you use AI as a tool. A tool, meaning you are not fully dependent on it. Cursor, Claude Code, whatever works. But you review what comes out, you understand what is there, and you type the tricky parts yourself. We spot vibe-coders straight away from their first PR.
That you work independently. You pick up a ticket, ask questions where needed, and deliver. We are not going to chase you.
That you want to understand what is happening. Under the hood of an LLM, in the query planner, in the deploy pipeline. Not accepting black boxes just because it “works”.
A degree is neither a deal maker nor a deal breaker for us. The trial assignment is.
Nice to have
- Experience with Stripe or other payment providers
- You are already at home on GCP
- Financial knowledge, an accounting foundation, or an affinity with invoicing
- Open source work or side projects where you learned something
What you get from us
A market-rate salary, matching what you bring and can do right away. Flexible hours between 8 and 32 per week, your choice. Working from our office in Enschede and remotely. Short lines, direct feedback, and no micromanagement. Room to grow toward the role that suits you, whether that is technical depth or more toward architecture or client contact.
The work itself is perhaps the most important part: real problems at real companies, with visible impact.
Interested?
Email info@innoworks.ai or send Tijn or Twan a message on LinkedIn. Questions up front are fine, just reach out.
No CV bingo. Just show us what you can do.
We don’t look at CVs full of buzzwords. We want to see what you can do.

Send something in
A short email or LinkedIn message. What you have done, why you want this work, and ideally a link to something you are proud of (GitHub, side project, blog or little script, does not matter).
- 02
Intro chat
Half an hour over coffee in Enschede or online, to see whether it clicks on both sides.
- 03
Trial assignment
A task that resembles our actual work. Not to filter you out with a trick, but to see how you work, think and communicate along the way.
- 04
Closing conversation
With Tijn and Twan. Does it feel right on both sides? Then we arrange the rest within a week.
The builders behind Innoworks.
“No fancy talk, just hard work on something that works. We stand beside you until it runs and delivers real value.”
“Trust is built with an honest story and by doing what you promise. We do not promise the moon, we deliver what works.”
“AI is only worth something when it genuinely takes work off your hands. We build it around how you work, not the other way around.”
