Lead scoring
What is lead scoring?
Lead scoring assigns a score to every lead or prospect based on how well they fit your customer profile and how much interest they show, so sales follows up the most promising ones first.
A classic lead score adds up points: do the sector, size and job title match your ideal customer, and has someone downloaded a white paper or requested a demo? Above a threshold, the lead goes to sales. An AI agent can make that assessment on information that does not fit in a form. How we build such an agent and connect it to your CRM is covered under having AI agents built.
The weakness of a points system is that it only measures what you thought of in advance. AI can read a website, assess a request written in plain language and look up missing data, and it gives the reason along with the score. That makes the score explainable, and therefore useful to a sales team deciding whom to call first.
For Ecare we built a system that maps more than 5,000 mental healthcare organisations, calculates a fit score for each and automatically adds qualified prospects to HubSpot. The sales team validates the results in a review screen, and that feedback makes the system better over time.
