Human-in-the-loop
What is human-in-the-loop?
Human-in-the-loop means a person reviews or approves an AI process at the right moments, so mistakes are caught before they do any harm.
You do not want to hand every decision over to AI completely. Human-in-the-loop is the deliberate addition of a human checkpoint: the AI does the groundwork, and a person approves, corrects, or lets it through. That way you combine the speed of AI with the judgement of a professional.
The art lies in where you place that checkpoint. Too much oversight and you lose the gains, too little and a mistake slips through to the customer. We pick those spots based on risk: an AI agent can prepare a hundred case files, but a person reviews the rejection or the high-value amount.
For customer communication, compliance, and anything that carries legal or financial weight, human-in-the-loop is our default, not the exception. It is how you put AI to work without putting your reputation at risk.
