AI in construction

AI in construction: paperwork that keeps pace with the site

For contractors, installers and construction companies across the Netherlands. We build AI agents that keep daily reports, site administration, planning, specifications and the Wkb file up to date, connected to the systems your team already uses.

AI in construction

Trusted by

Who it is for

For contractors, installers, subcontractors and construction firms where the office work lags behind the site.

On site, the work is planned down to the day. Around it runs a second stream: daily reports, receipts, programme changes, specifications, estimates, purchasing and the file required under the Dutch Quality Assurance for Building Act (Wkb). That stream grows with every project and lands with the same site managers, work planners and estimators who also have to run the job.

Tick what you recognise.
  • Hours, progress, weather, materials and particulars sit on paper, in an app or in the site manager's head. At the end of the week it all gets retyped, and whatever is missing by then is hard to reconstruct later when it comes to variations, delays or a discussion with the client.

  • A delivery that arrives late or a subcontractor who slips a day affects the whole programme. Coordination runs through email, messaging apps and phone, and the current position is spread across the programme, purchase orders and the work planner's head. That is where failure costs arise.

  • Every tender starts with hundreds of pages of specifications and conditions, and every estimate with searching through earlier projects. Since 1 January 2024 the Dutch Quality Assurance for Building Act (Wkb) has applied to consequence class 1, and with it a file that demonstrates what has been built.

Recognise two or more?

Then this work is a good candidate for AI. The AI audit establishes whether it really is.

How we work in construction. In three steps.

We start with your processes, not with a tool. First we pinpoint where the gains are, then we build in short iterations, then we make sure your team actually uses it.

What you get out of it

AI agents for the work around building, from site to office.

Applications that connect to your planning, estimating and project administration, with the site manager, work planner and estimator as checkpoints.

  • Site and execution

Daily reports and site admin from spoken notes

At the end of the day the site manager records what happened, or sends photos and receipts via the app. An AI agent turns it into a structured daily report with hours, progress, weather, materials and particulars, and sets variations and deviations aside for approval. That way the project file grows every day.

  • Specifications, estimating and Wkb

Specifications, estimates and the Wkb file with the groundwork done

AI reads specifications, tender documents and conditions, lists requirements, risks and deviations, and retrieves comparable earlier estimates. For the Wkb, the same layer organises photos, inspections and changes by building element and phase, so the file becomes complete during construction. The estimator sets the price, the quality assurer assesses.

  • Planning, purchasing and subcontractors

One overview of projects, planning and purchasing

With AIOS, our AI Operating System, we bring together planning, purchase orders, project administration and messages from suppliers and subcontractors. You ask a question in plain language, such as which deliveries are tight this week or which subcontractor has not yet confirmed, and the agent flags clashes before they turn into failure costs. The work planner decides.

What it costs

A fixed scope, a fixed price up front.

From one agent for daily reports to a wider roll-out across site and office: we agree the scope and a fixed amount up front, tailored to your projects and systems.

How is AI used in construction?

AI in construction mainly takes over the work around building: writing up daily reports and site administration, reading specifications and tender documents, preparing estimates based on earlier projects, adding to the Wkb file during construction and flagging changes in planning, purchasing and with subcontractors. Site managers, work planners and estimators make the decisions; AI does the groundwork.

Which company builds AI agents for construction firms, for example for site administration, daily reports and planning?

Innoworks builds AI agents for contractors, installers and other construction companies across the Netherlands, including for site administration, daily reports, planning, specification and tender analysis and the Wkb file. We connect the agents to the planning, estimating and project administration you already use; construction software vendors are also adding AI features to their own packages, while a custom agent works across all your systems. There are no construction cases on our site yet. The principle behind a dictated daily report is already running at In het Veld, where conversations are automatically turned into reports and action points.

Can AI take over daily reports and site administration?

Yes, the writing up of them. The site manager records what happened or sends photos and receipts, and an AI agent turns it into a daily report with hours, progress, weather, materials and particulars. Variations and deviations are set aside separately for approval. The site manager checks and signs off.

How does AI help with the file for the Dutch Quality Assurance for Building Act?

The Quality Assurance for Building Act (Wkb) has been in force since 1 January 2024 for consequence class 1. AI helps to build the file during construction: photos, inspections, job sheets and changes are recognised and organised by building element and phase, and missing documents are flagged well before handover. The assessment lies with the quality assurer and your own team.

Can AI reduce failure costs in construction?

AI tackles the causes that sit in the flow of information: changes that are not passed on, deliveries that clash with the programme, agreements with subcontractors that are not recorded anywhere and variations that are not logged. An agent flags these points earlier and records them in the project file. How much that delivers for each company is something we map per process in an AI audit.

What does AI cost for a construction company?

That depends on the process, the number of projects and the systems it connects to. We agree a fixed scope and a fixed price up front, so you know where you stand. We often start with an AI audit that ranks the opportunities by return. Book an intro call to talk through your situation.

How quickly is something live, and where do you start?

An AI audit delivers a prioritised opportunity report in 14 days. A first AI agent is usually live within 2 to 4 weeks in one defined process, such as daily reports or specification analysis. After that we extend to planning, purchasing or the Wkb file.

Do you also work with construction companies in Rotterdam and the Rijnmond region?

Yes. Innoworks works nationwide for construction companies, and in Rotterdam and the Rijnmond region Innoworks Rotterdam, at Westblaak 90, is the local point of contact.
