Finance automation with AI: steering, not explaining.
We automate the work in your finance function, from order-to-cash to purchase-to-pay: processing invoices, matching payments, running controls and preparing the month-end close. AI in accounting, connected to your own software, with the financial controller in charge.

Sound familiar?
Your finance team spends most of its time processing.
Raising and retyping invoices, matching payments, investigating discrepancies and the same close every month. The work gets done, but it takes the time you need for analysis and advice. And the figures the board steers on are already weeks old.
Recognise two or more?
Then this work is a good candidate for AI. The AI audit establishes whether it really is.
Invoice processing
How many hours a year does invoice processing cost you?
Enter how many people process purchase invoices and for how many hours a week. The counter turns that into a year.
Per year, on this one process
552 hours a year
2 people × 6 hours a week × 46 working weeks. That is 13.8 full work weeks of 40 hours.
How much of that AI can take over differs per process. We establish that in the AI audit.

What we build
Less processing, more steering.
Across order-to-cash, purchase-to-pay and the close, AI takes over the processing and preparation. The financial controller keeps making the decisions, with figures that are correct and current.
-
Month-end close and controls
A month-end close that prepares itself.
Controls run automatically, exceptions are logged and can be traced down to individual transactions. And you ask questions about the balance sheet, profit and loss or cash flow in plain language. For EVOKE we built a finance platform like this on AFAS, the Dutch ERP package, designed to automate more than 60% of the month-end close.
-
Financial analysis
A financial report in minutes.
AI analyses the data supplied and turns it into a clear report you can check. For Bedrijfshypotheek.nl we built a commercial mortgage platform where business owners upload their details and receive an extensive financing report within 4 minutes.

Where do you start?
First see where the gains are.
Not every finance process is worth automating, not even in order-to-cash or purchase-to-pay. At Victa we used a five-day on-site pilot to map where AI has the most impact in Finance and HR, and built a first working proof of concept straight away.
What it costs
Fixed scope, predictable costs.
No hourly billing. Together we decide which processes are in scope, you know the cost up front, and ongoing development runs on a predictable monthly fee.

What does AI do in accounting?
AI in accounting mainly takes over the processing and preparation work: reading purchase invoices, pre-coding them and getting them ready, matching payments, flagging exceptions, preparing the month-end close and producing reports. And you can ask questions about your figures in plain language. Start with the process that currently costs the most hours.
Can AI take over the accounting completely?
No, and that is not the goal either. AI takes over the processing and preparation: reading, pre-coding, checking and flagging. The financial controller or bookkeeper keeps deciding on exceptions, corrections and the close itself. That shifts time from processing to analysis and advice.
What is order-to-cash?
Order-to-cash (O2C) is the process from customer order to payment received: order, delivery, invoicing, credit control and matching the payment. In the order-to-cash process, AI can raise invoices from orders, match payments to open items, prepare reminders and flag exceptions. The financial controller keeps deciding on exceptions, such as payment plans, credit notes and write-offs.
What is purchase-to-pay?
Purchase-to-pay (P2P) is the purchasing chain from order to payment: purchase order, goods receipt, purchase invoice, approval and payment to the supplier. In the purchase-to-pay process, AI reads purchase invoices, pre-codes them, checks them against the purchase order and the goods receipt and gets them ready for approval. Differences in amount or quantity are flagged before anything is paid. Approving and releasing the payment remains work for people.
Can you automate invoice processing?
Yes, and it is often a logical first step. AI reads purchase invoices and receipts, proposes a posting and gets it ready in your accounting software. The bookkeeper checks and approves, and anything the AI is not sure about goes to a person as an exception. That shifts invoice processing from retyping to reviewing.
Does this work with AFAS, Exact or Moneybird?
Yes. We connect to the accounting software you already use, such as the Dutch packages AFAS, Exact and Moneybird, and to your bank, CRM or ERP where needed. The EVOKE finance platform, for example, runs on an integration with AFAS.
How much time does finance automation save?
That depends on the volume and the processes. At EVOKE, 15 core controls and automatic flagging mean up to 40 hours a month fewer manual checks, and the platform is designed to automate more than 60% of the month-end close. In an AI audit or a short pilot we work out per process what it delivers, before you invest.
Is AI in finance reliable enough?
Only if you build it that way: with fixed controls, a log of every step and outcomes that can be traced back to the transaction. That is why our AI runs alongside the rules you already have, not instead of them, and a person keeps the final decision.
What about GDPR and confidential financial data?
Your financial data stays yours. We work with business AI models that do not use your data for training, choose processing within the EU wherever possible and record that in a data processing agreement. Access follows the permissions you already have.
What does finance automation cost?
That depends on the number of processes, the integrations with your systems and the volume. We agree a fixed scope and a fixed price up front, and ongoing development runs on a predictable monthly fee. Book an intro call for an estimate for your situation.
Where do you start with AI in finance?
With the processes that cost the most hours and are the most repetitive, usually purchase invoices, reconciliations or reporting. At Victa we did that in a five-day on-site pilot, and in an AI audit we map it across your whole organisation in two weeks.
