Order-to-cash

What is order-to-cash?

Order-to-cash is the process from a customer order to the received payment: order, delivery, invoicing, accounts receivable and matching the payment.

Also known as O2Corder to cashorder-to-cash process

It is one of the core processes of every organisation that delivers and invoices. Errors or delays in that chain cost money directly: invoices sent late, payments that are not recognised, receivables that stay open too long. How AI speeds up that chain is covered under finance automation.

Order-to-cash contains a lot of repetitive work that AI can prepare: drafting invoices from orders, matching payments, preparing reminders and flagging deviations. People keep deciding on the exceptions.

The purchasing side is called purchase-to-pay.
