As of 9 July 2026, Innoworks is opening a second staffed office, at Westblaak 90 in Rotterdam. Joël van der Hoeven joins as co-owner of Innoworks Rotterdam and leads the office day to day. From there, Innoworks serves companies in the Rotterdam region with AI implementations, from an initial AI audit through to agents and custom software that connects to existing systems.
Alongside the head office in Enschede, Rotterdam is now the second office with a permanent team. Innoworks also holds locations in Amsterdam and Berlin where clients are received by appointment.
What this means for companies in the region
For businesses in the region, delivery moves closer. A permanent point of contact in the city, an office you can walk into, and a team that joins you at the table when the engagement calls for it. The engagements themselves are unchanged: the same builders, the same method and the same portfolio as from Enschede.
Leadership and point of contact
Joël van der Hoeven is the first point of contact for entrepreneurs in the region. He guides engagements from the first conversation through to technical delivery, so that commercial agreements and technical execution meet in one person.
“You do not roll out AI from a distance. You have to be on the shop floor, see where the process gets stuck, and only then start building,” says Van der Hoeven.

Why Rotterdam
The Rotterdam economy runs on its port, logistics, manufacturing and a growing professional services sector. These are sectors where volume, planning and lead time determine the result, and where AI has measurable effect the moment it lands in the primary process rather than in a pilot.
The decision for a staffed office follows from the way we implement. That requires presence: interviews on the floor, observing processes first hand, and guidance during adoption.
